Thailand is one of the world’s tourist hot spots. An extensive and up-to-date range of products and services in the large shopping malls is part of the travel experience for the international visitors. Twice a week, the displays are replenished with goods from Europe and China. To this end, Logwin has established an optimally coordinated supply chain.
We handle import clearance immediately upon arrival within a few hours. In order to enable the fastest possible customs clearance for a huge number of items per shipment – up to 1,000 HS codes – we developed a customized data interface with the Thai customs system. This makes it possible to check and submit the customs declaration within minutes, which saves several hours compared to manual processing. As part of the clearance process, the goods are loaded onto trucks within the secured and bonded freight area. A separate vehicle is available for each store we supply.
That same night we deliver the goods to 28 stores across Thailand in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai. For this purpose, the goods are reloaded on site from six-wheeled trucks to smaller four-wheeled vehicles, which transport the goods directly to the storage rooms. By the next morning – less than 12 hours after arriving in Bangkok – the goods are on the shelves of Thailand’s boutiques, ready for sale.
