For team spirit and engagement
Our Logwin Racer are active in sports events all over the world. Exercising together greatly enhances team spirit, promotes health, and on top of that, it’s a lot of fun! This is why we support our employees’ athletic interests throughout the year via local initiatives on health-related topics and sports programs. In addition, we regularly participate in athletic events around the globe in smaller and larger teams, resulting in a jam-packed calendar of sports events for the year.
Geographically separated but doing sports together for a good cause – participating in the Wings for Life World Run App Run was our running highlight in 2022. Logwin participated in this charity running event with a group of employees for the first time since 2019 as part of a flagship run in Munich. In 2021, the Logwin Racer then competed around the globe as one of the largest teams in the international race against the Catcher Car and had set themselves a special goal for 2022: true to the official slogan “Running for Those Who Can’t,” Logwin wanted to take part in the App Run with an even larger number of participants than the year before. And we were successful - with 1,400 registered participants from 30 different Logwin countries, the level of commitment shown by our employees, their families, friends, and customers was tremendous.
As a worldwide charity event, the Wings for Life World Run is not only an event for Logwin’s own employees, but also supports the Wings for Life Foundation and its research into the treatment of paraplegia. At Logwin, supporting social causes is a matter near and dear to our hearts. As such, in addition to this international charity run, Logwin also supports other globally active organizations with regular larger financial donations and is particularly committed to its employees’ own charitable projects, which are promoted as part of the internal charity program. And the Logwin Racers always demonstrate their tremendous team spirit across all continents.
Every year, Logwin Racers come together at a collective and very special running event to conquer the length of a marathon – either as individual runners or as part of a team relay. In October 2022, we hit the pavement in Frankfurt and are incredibly proud that around 50 Logwin runners from Germany, Austria, Poland, and Luxembourg took part.
In late autumn temperatures, adrenaline and team spirit were our companions for this event. On the route, which led through downtown Frankfurt, the runners were propelled forward by the spectators until they finally crossed the finish line at the Festhalle Frankfurt arena. Both exhausted and elated, the runners recovered at the Logwin booth in the exhibition hall with cool drinks, snacks, and friendly conversation. Every Logwin Racer contributed to making this event a celebration of outstanding individual and relay performances. Many thanks to all who made the Frankfurt Marathon an unforgettable event! We are already looking forward to competing with our colleagues again as Logwin Racers.
Hopping in the saddle together
In addition to our Logwin Racers’ running achievements, we don't want neglect our cyclists, as there are plenty of opportunities to hop in the saddle as well. The Skoda Velotour in Frankfurt-Eschborn and the race open to everyone as part of the Deutschland Tour were written and circled in ink on the calendars of the amateur cyclists among our employees, customers, and business partners.
The Skoda Velotour in Frankfurt-Eschborn
May 1 is all about bike riding when the Skoda Velotour takes place in Frankfurt-Eschborn. In 2022, our Logwin Racers once again took to the starting line together in perfect weather for a race to cover their chosen distance of 40 km (Skyline Tour), 87 km (Express), or 100 km (Classic). Just one hour after the race started, the first Logwin Racers successfully arrived at the team tent. As sponsor of the Skoda Velotour, we organized the refreshment stand on the Sandplacken – the stopover before the climb up the massive Feldberg.
The Race Open to Everyone as
Part of the Deutschland Tour
In 2022, Stuttgart was the final venue of the 2022 Deutschland Tour. The race open to everyone at the end of August provided the setting for all the enthusiastic amateur cyclists, before the pros reached the finish line at Stuttgart’s Schlossgarten in the afternoon. The team of around 30 Logwin Racers had two attractive routes to choose from: the Weinberg circuit (57 km) or the tour through the Stuttgart region (116 km). The race culminated in the arrival on Theodor-Heuss-Str., where all the participants were propelled on to the finish line by the enthusiastic spectators amid applause and loud drumming. Late in the afternoon, the professional cyclists taking part in the Deutschland Tour whizzed past the Logwin team tent and raced to victory after a successful week that took them from Weimar via Freiburg to Stuttgart.
