How did you join Logwin?
I started as the first vocational trainee at the Münster-Osnabrück branch in 2012. I found out about Logwin through an acquaintance and it quickly became clear to me that I wanted to complete my training here.
What happened after the training program?
After completing my vocational training, I worked in the Import Department and Logwin made it possible for me to earn a certificate from the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in business administration at night school. A year later, I then took part in the internal junior management training program and subsequently passed the trainer aptitude test. I have been a branch manager since 2021. I highly recommend that everyone takes advantage of the internal or external advanced training opportunities. Logwin gladly supports its employees and does it extremely well!
What makes working at Logwin so exciting for you personally?
As an medium-sized company, Logwin is one of the big players in the international shipping sector. Nevertheless, communication with employees, coworkers, and superiors is so close-knit that it almost feels like family. Empathy is a particularly important asset in today’s world, as everything is becoming increasingly fast-paced and demanding – including for employees and coworkers. This makes it all the more important to be able to respond to each individual and their needs.
What is your personal strength and how can you apply it in your everyday work?
I don’t like to talk about my own strengths, that’s for others to judge. But if I have to, I’d say my ability to really empathize with others and remain calm in tricky situations. Empathy is, in my opinion, a particularly important asset in today’s world. Everything is becoming increasingly fast-paced and demanding, including for employees and coworkers. This means it’s all the more important to be able to respond to each individual and their needs.
Which of the four Logwin attributes – close by, professional, dedicated, and international – do you identify with the most, and why?
Dedicated. I believe that dedication and hard work are always rewarded in life. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later – but in the long run, being hardworking and dedicated will always pay off.
Do you have a personal motto?
I don’t really have a motto. However, in my life so far, the saying “there’s strength in staying calm” has proven true most often. I have taken this to heart myself and try to use it as a guide as often as possible.
Do you have a dream destination that’s still on your bucket list?
Yes, definitely: New York at Christmas time!
