Logwin Air + Ocean has opened a new branch in Lianyungang. This brings the total number of Logwin locations in the Chinese province of Jiangsu to four. Located on the Yellow Sea, the port city is an important hub for international trade and lies within one of eastern China’s most significant industrial and economic regions. The new location further strengthens Logwin’s proximity to customers in the region and creates additional opportunities to develop its business in northern Jiangsu. The region continues to attract investment in future-oriented industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and advanced manufacturing, offering attractive prospects for future business development.
Lianyungang as a growing transportation hub
Lianyungang is an important multimodal transportation hub with well-developed rail connections and a rapidly growing port. This further underlines the city’s increasing importance as a gateway for national and international trade.
Close to customers and their needs
For Logwin, being close to its customers is a key success factor. The company relies on a strong local presence to build close relationships and respond flexibly to customer requirements. The new team in Lianyungang has extensive logistics expertise as well as established relationships with companies from the region’s export-oriented industries. This provides an excellent basis for further developing existing customer relationships and tapping into additional business opportunities.
“We are delighted to be even closer to our customers in this economically strong and dynamic region,” says Nicolai Moeller, Country Director Mainland China & Hong Kong at Logwin. “Close customer relationships, a thorough understanding of their needs and the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements have always been key characteristics of our business in China. With the new location, we can further strengthen this approach and provide even more targeted support to our customers.”
Growth potential in key industry sectors
David von Schwerin, Commercial Director Mainland China & Hong Kong at Logwin, adds: “The growing biomedical and pharmaceutical industries, together with the region’s established chemicals sector, offer attractive growth opportunities for us. At the same time, we can further strengthen our position in the market.”
Lianyungang connects coastal shipping routes with key economic centers in China’s hinterland and is continuously gaining importance as a trade and logistics hub. With the new branch, Logwin is further expanding its international network and strengthening its presence in strategically important markets through its own local operations.
