BEDRAN HASSO AND LOGWIN

In 2015, at the age of 15, I fled from Syria via Turkey and Poland to Germany. In the following years I attended various German and integration courses. My first contact with Logwin was made at a job fair in January 2017.

In August 2017 I started a 12-month entry qualification (long-term internship in the export department) including two days of vocational school and additional courses in German, English and accounting.

Due to the very good school and company performance, I was hired in August 2018 as an apprentice with direct entry in the 2nd year of training - a huge success for me!

To date, I have already passed through the Export Department and Claims Department as part of my training. Next I am looking forward to the import department.

GREATEST SUCCESS? GREATEST CHALLENGE?

At the beginning the language barriers were very big and seemed impossible for me. Through intensive questioning, weekly language courses after work and vocab studies, it got better from day to day.

The best experience was that after only 3 months in the disposition department I was able to support the department actively. It was great to see how I was able to work independently in many areas of the disposition after prior consultation.

A personal highlight is that I received my vocational school certificate yesterday with a grade point average of 2.0. All that learning was very strenuous - but it paid off. I am very proud of what I have achieved!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY TODAY?

I'd do it all over again.
