Shopping chic – Logwin supplies Central Embassy in Bangkok

Logwin assisted its customers in stocking their stores prior to the opening of the luxurious shopping mall in Thailand.

Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) – A new highlight has been added to Bangkok's skyline: Central Embassy, a luxury shopping mall with breathtaking architecture. More than 200 famous international brands from the fields of fashion, cosmetics, watches and jewellery offer their products over eight storeys. Logwin assisted its customers in stocking their stores prior to the opening of the mall. Besides fixtures and furnishings, the logistics service provider also transported merchandise to the shopping centre.

Logwin conveyed shelving systems and displays directly to the stores and assembled them on site. Cash registers, clothes hangers and articles for sale were also items that the company delivered punctually. The goods came from countries such as China, France, Singapore and the USA. Logwin cleared the air and sea freight shipments through customs, organised bundled onward transport to the shopping mall and distributed the fixtures, furnishings and articles to the individual stores on site. Sales staff were able to stow the articles promptly and create an attractive presentation of dresses and shirts, creams and perfumes ready for the store opening.

Delivery in the middle of the night

Logwin transported more than 40 truckloads of goods to Central Embassy prior to the opening. Most of the deliveries to the shopping mall, located in the heart of Bangkok, were effected between 10 pm and 6 am. "We were under enormous time pressure and there was scarcely enough space for the many trucks in the delivery zone," says Willie Wedemeyer, Country Director at Logwin in Thailand. "The transporters therefore worked to a tight schedule in order to make the best possible use of the space available for unloading. In this way we managed to deliver and set up everything in time – all those involved worked perfectly hand in hand."

Logwin will continue to support its customers in Central Embassy on a regular basis. Shop decors and fixtures change each season, and articles for marketing campaigns and the latest collections must reach the stores fast. Logwin procures the goods, manages both domestic and international transportation and assumes responsibility for customs clearance and store delivery.
