Speeding up the supply chain: Logwin offers new Fashion-X-Press-Service
Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) – Fashion deliveries with deadlines: this is a case for Logwin's new Fashion-X-Press-Service. The logistics service provider has been delivering garments to stores throughout Germany within 24 hours since 1 June 2009.
Articles ordered by Fashion-X-Press reach the desired branch, retailer or shop on the next working day – by midday, if needed. Depending on availability, delivery will be effected from a distribution center or from another store.
The new service can be booked anywhere in mainland Germany. In order to use the service, the customer simply attaches an express service label to the goods and orders Fashion-X-Press online or with a manual shipping order. "In urgent cases our consignors can use Fashion-X-Press to significantly reduce the already short delivery time of 24 to 48 hours", reports Frank Sobotka, Director International Network Fashion in the Logwin business segment Solutions. "Their customers are supplied with the desired products just as reliably but even faster." Depending on requirements, Logwin will transport the garments folded or hanging.
Logwin has the largest network for the transport of hanging garments in Europe. Each year, Logwin delivers around 300 million garments on hanger. With its store logistics service, the textiles logistics specialist can guarantee precise delivery within agreed time slots and the direct distribution of goods to defined drop zones within stores. Since the garments arrive at the point of sale on hanger, the sales staff save time as they only have to hang the goods onto racks. Logwin also provides extensive additional services such as garment processing, barcode printing and labelling.
