Logwin moves to new multi-user site in Bergheim near Salzburg
Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) – The logistics service provider Logwin moved to a newly rented terminal in the trade center in Bergheim at the beginning of December. The new location houses a hanging garment store for 40,000 items and is a transshipment hub in Western Austria for Logwin’s pan-European hanging garment network. A further 2,200 m² is devoted to handling goods and there is a 1,200 m² high-rack system for pallet storage. The location’s portfolio includes numerous value-added services for the fashion and retail sectors: labeling, security tagging, quality controls and transport container processing. Besides retail and fashion, the site also focuses on beverage logistics. Services cover all aspects of supply chain management from procurement and warehousing to national and international distribution.
"With the new space we will be in a better position to meet the increasing demands of customers in the fashion and retail fields", explains Ernst Harringer, Logwin location manager in Bergheim. "As a multi-user site we are able to satisfy the many different types of requirements of industry and trade."
Logwin has been operating in Austria since 1957 and has nine locations there. The foundations for today’s hanging garment network covering the whole of Europe were already established back in 1964, which will be continuously developed to become a highly efficient retail network. “Logwin’s future lies in the close interaction between and continued development of our industry-specific and specialist networks”, declares Thomas Eisen, Managing Director Solutions Warehousing and Logistics at Logwin. "Depending on our customers’ requirements we combine transport, transshipment as well as warehousing and added value services – as modular services from a single source."
