Logwin in the Netherlands: air and sea freight services now available from a single source
Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) – The international logistics service provider Logwin is now offering its air and sea freight services in the Netherlands directly. It has terminated cooperation with its former partner company. "As we are now offering our complete range of services from a single source, our customers will benefit from even more transparency and improved, globally standardized processes", explains Hauke Müller, Managing Director Region Europe Middle East at the Logwin business segment Air + Ocean. "At the same time, by restructuring our activities in the Netherlands, we are making a significant contribution to the productivity and cost efficiency of the whole group."
The business segment Air + Ocean in the Netherlands is headed by Country Director Marc Wijnen. Logwin currently has three locations of its own there. Some 90 employees provide comprehensive logistical services for customers from various sectors such as the automobile industry and the medical sector. Besides freight management, these also include warehousing and value added services.
"An important component of our strategy is being able to rely on our own network of locations around the world – with our new country organization in India being the latest example", says Helmut Kaspers, COO of the business segment Air + Ocean of Logwin AG. "Cooperation with partner companies does offer some opportunities, but also increases the risks, which we wish to minimize in the current economic environment. We are convinced that our path towards self-reliance is the right one.”
