Logwin expands retail distribution in Hungary

Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) – The logistics service provider Logwin has extended its range of services in Hungary. Since June this year the location in Györ has been integrated into the company’s own pan-European retail fashion network. In the past the location specialized in industrial goods and so is also well-positioned for fashion logistics: “By integrating Györ into our fashion network we will be improving the speed and quality of goods distribution on the Hungarian market”, says Gabriella Szováti, Country Director of the national subsidiary in Hungary within the Logwin business segment Solutions. Logwin supplies stores in shopping centers and inner cities with fashion articles and hanging goods on a daily basis. 57 locations in 12 countries are integrated into Logwin’s retail network, which is one of the largest logistics networks for hanging garments in Europe.
Via Györ and Budapest throughout the whole country
Whether textiles, fashion accessories or shoes – each day fashion articles from international manufacturers reach Logwin in Györ or in its logistics hub in Budapest. Logwin has contracted the hub operations to an experienced partner company. Logwin accepts the pre-picked goods and delivers the fashion articles throughout Hungary. The logistics provider tailors delivery times to match customers’ individual wishes: goods are delivered on agreed days within specifically defined windows of time. This enables shops to draw up optimum plans for staff to accept and store articles. But customers do not just benefit from punctual and fast distribution. The logistics service provider also organizes returns processing and the movement of goods between customers’ national and international stores. Besides well-known fashion labels, the Austrian sports goods manufacturer Hervis Sports also uses Logwin’s distribution service in Hungary. “The integration of Hungary into our European network has worked perfectly”, says Gabriella Szováti. The Logwin Group’s core markets include not just Germany and Austria but also the emerging countries of Eastern Europe, where there are plans for further expansion of the retail network.
Logwin in Hungary
Logwin has had a presence in Hungary for 18 years, where it operates locations in Budapest, Györ and Vecsés. Around 40 employees work on behalf of customers from sectors such as the automotive industry, chemicals, fashion & lifestyle or media. Services offered include international transport by air freight, sea freight or truck as well as warehousing, value-added services and supply chain management. Logwin has 7,000 m2 of warehousing and logistics space in Hungary. In addition to access to a pan-European retail fashion network, Logwin also provides a general cargo network covering the whole of the Hungarian market. The location in Györ serves as the hub for transshipment.
