Logwin expands logistics centre in Hong Kong
Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) – With the expansion of its logistics centre in Hong Kong, the worldwide logistics services provider Logwin has considerably enhanced its warehouse capacities in China. The Kwai Chung location now has available about 4,000 high-rise rack pallet spaces with a total area of approximately 6,600 square meters. The original storage capacity was 1,500 square meters.
Logwin started running the warehouse in October 2008 and modernized it in two expansion phases. In doing so especially the storage capacity for temperature-sensitive products was increased. “We continue to be satisfied with the business development in Hong Kong,” says Helmut Kaspers, COO of the business segment Air + Ocean of Logwin AG. “The demand for dependable logistics solutions has remained constant, especially in the textile and electronics industry, as well as in the area of medicinal products.”
The logistics centre in Kwai Chung is strategically conveniently located: Just a ten-minute drive from the container terminal and 25 minutes from the airport, the terminal offers optimal connections to the international flow of goods. In close vicinity to the newly expanded centre in Hong Kong are also Logwin’s air and sea freight locations in Hong Kong. “Our customers profit from this bundling with efficient end-to-end services,” says Detlef Schmeelke, Managing Director Air + Ocean Hong Kong and South China at Logwin. Besides international air and sea freight transportation and warehousing services, Logwin’s spectrum of offerings also includes the direct delivery to retail stores. Among the value added services are also labeling and quality controls.
Logwin has been active in China for more than 35 years and operates more than 20 locations, three alone in Hong Kong.
