Ad hoc: Thiel Logistik AG Appoints New CFO
Martin Löffler has beeen appointed Chief Financial Officer
Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) - Effective June 1, 2003, Martin Löffler (42) has been appointed to the Executive Board of Thiel Logistik AG, Grevenmacher (Luxembourg), as Chief Financial Officer. After studying Traffic Management in Heilbronn and later obtaining an MBA in the USA, Martin Löffler first held leading positions at an international haulage company and subsequently worked at a variety of retail and service companies. He was Head of Controlling at Computer 2000 AG from 1995 through 1999, then Director of Business Operations at its subsidiary, Tech Data Deutschland GmbH, Munich. The new CEO'S chief task will be to establish and develop group structures that will facilitate the management of the Thiel company in its current size and complexity. This will include continuing the cost-cutting measures already underway, and pressing ahead with the planned divestments aimed at adjusting the Thiel Group's portfolio.
