After studying mathematics and business administration (Dipl.-Math.), Prof. Delfmann received a doctorate (Dr. rer. pol) in 1976 and wrote a professorial thesis on business administration in 1982 (Münster University). He held professorships at the universities of Münster and Frankfurt a.M. from 1983 and at Cologne University since 1988. He is the Director of the Department of Business Planning and Logistics.
