After joining Klöckner & Co. in Duisburg, he was appointed deputy director of corporate planning in 1984 and as of 1989 a member of the managing board of MAST-JÄGERMEISTER AG in Wolfenbüttel. From 1995 to 1999 he was commercial director (CFO) and labor director of Lafarge Braas GmbH in Oberursel. Since May 1999 he has been chairman of the Managing Board of DELTON AG in Bad Homburg. Since October 2002 Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thiel Logistik AG and since September 2005 Chairman of the Executive Committee of Logwin AG´s Board of Directors.
