“Very good quality at a good price – not vice-versa!” is the credo of Aristidis Kristallidis, CEO of the delicatessen wholesaler Krini® based in Weinstadt-Großheppach near Stuttgart, Germany. “If we cannot get a product in the quality typical for Krini®, then we’d rather stop carrying it for a while instead of expecting the consumer to put up with that compromise.”

This specialist for Mediterranean delicacies also requires these high quality standards from Logwin, their logistics partner. For Krini® the specialist logistics provider warehouses at their Ludwigsburg site antipasti, baked goods, oils and other fine spaecialities that for the most part are imported from Italy and Greece.
Co-operation for twelve years already
Logwin and Krini® have been working hand in glove for the past twelve years in warehousing, order picking and distribution. Logwin takes care of the warehousing, Krini® picks the goods in the provided warehouse space, and finally Logwin distributes the specialities daily to various grocery retailers around Germany.

Success of a family business
More than 40 years ago today’s Krini® was founded under the name “L. Kristallidis – Foreign Specialities”. Back then the customers were mainly Greek wholesalers and retailers, the food service industry and the company’s first branches. “In the past years we’ve been continually expanding our assortment and kept our high quality in doing so,” says Kristallidis, explaining the success of this family owned and operated business. In 2007 the Krini® product line was expanded to include Mediterranean specialities in certified BIO quality, a seal of approval for organic products. The CEO, like his father before him, decides about which products to include on location where they are produced.

Close to Customers
Proximity as a prerequisite for trust and success – Logwin understands this. Since 2008 its employees fulfil the promised performance for what at the time was the newly introduced Logwin brand. However the origins of the logistics service provider reach all the way back to the year 1877. At our Ludwigsburg site we have a total warehousing area of approximately 5,150 m2 and 1,000 m2 of open space available. Our service portfolio includes national and European part and full load deliveries, groupage freight, warehousing and distribution logistics, individually tailored logistics services, and customs clearing.
